Hi all!

good news!

Track@Way 2.1.3 is out today, with some good new features!

Changelog:

- Supports datum European 1950

- Improved table scrolling

- Fix crash on unsupported map formats

- fix scale length! now it's correct.

- Moved "new waypoint" button in a better position

- You can now maximize the map in the table!

The most notable change is that you can now maximize the map in the table view! The buttons will disappear and you can enjoy a fullscreen map!

Thanks! I like the new maximize map feature. For the cartographic table i would like one more thing, and that's a battery-level indicator. And maybe also a faster way of disabling the compass and GPS, to save battery.
I've been playing around a lot with custom map sources (will post them on the forum the coming week), and also stumbled upon some bugs, will post them in appropriate forum-sections.

Hi!
unfortunately battery cannot be displayed on Symbian. It is displayed on MeeGo, Maemo and Android but a certificate issue on Symbian prevents it to work.

This is not a technical issue but a security issue related to the Symbian certificate system... and cannot be resolved. If you buy the software from Nokia Store then yes, it will work, but you need to buy the Supporter release again. It's a Nokia limitation, i cannot work around it.

As for the bugs, please, write directly to me or post on the forum, it's fine.

ciao!

ok, pity about displaying battery level; then a short trip to the OS should do.

There's seems to be a bug in the loading of tiles, which is most apparent when switching maps, or switching zoomlevels; the loading of tiles seems to hang, and can get cured by a click on the "maps" button, and again on the cartographic table button.

Hi Willy,
I used trackaway on a Nokia C6-00 (Symbian), and enjoyed it very much.
But now i've got a Samsung Galaxy SII, and I wanted to download the Android-version. Unfortunately, the link to the downloads doesn't work (http://www.trackaway.org/index.php/preview-releases).
Is it possible to fix this? Or is there a problem with the Android-version?

I've got a question concerning the further development too: do you think it should be possible to receive AIS-signals from a USB-receiver that's connected tot the smartphone?

Yours sincerely,
Jan
